Amanera
Overlooking the ocean and Playa Grande Beach from its cliff-top setting, Amanera (‘peaceful water’) is surrounded by jungle and framed by dramatic mountains. The 25 Casita resort lies alongside the lauded fairways of Playa Grande Golf Course and presents an Aman Spa and Aman Clubhouse. Originally designed by golf legend Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Playa Grande Golf Course has been fully renovated by his son, Rees Jones. An idyllic base for discovering the north coast, Amanera’s experiences include kite-surfing, merengue dancing, deep-sea fishing and horse riding on the beach.
The resort’s main pavilion, Casa Grande, offers sweeping views at every turn. It houses the bar and lounge, a discreet reception, a serene library and cigar bar, and leads to Amanera’s signature restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining areas.
Each of the 24 One Bedroom Casitas enjoy unobstructed ocean vistas from an expansive terrace. Every Casita is accessed via a winding pathway through a private garden, and 13 Casitas feature their own ten meter private swimming pool.

Main Restaurant
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, housed in Casa Grande, the resort’s main lodge. The restaurant overlooks the main pool with breathtaking ocean views and the menu showcases seasonal and sustainable local ingredients combined with international techniques. It includes a private dining experience with bespoke menu. Wine tasting available.
Beach Club
Open for lunch and dinner on selected evenings. Tucked into a sandy cove on Playa Grande beach, the Beach Club serves fresh, local, tropical menu with a multi-cultural flare. Stone oven and live cooking. Cooking classes available.
Lounge Bar
Open throughout the day. Housed on the upper level of Casa Grande, seating nooks overlook infinity-edged waterways. Daily complimentary afternoon tea and a wide selection of rums, tequilas and signature cocktails. Private rum tasting and cigar demonstrations upon request.
