The parent company was established over 40 years ago by former J.P. Morgan & Co Managing Director, Maurice Bonham-Carter, initially providing reservations and marketing services to Caribbean resorts then owned or managed by Mr. Bonham-Carter’s companies. Since its inception, ID Travel Group has maintained its principal office in Larchmont, New York, USA. In addition to Mr. Bonham-Carter, the worldwide business is now jointly owned by longstanding senior officers of the companies, Laurie Palumbo, Padu Padmanaban, and Paul Cleary.
With offices in New York, London, Johannesburg, Singapore, and Melbourne, the ID Travel Group operates on five continents with luxury travel professionals stationed globally. The organization is proudly preferred with major consortia networks such as Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network, Affluent Traveler, Travel Savers, NEST, and Travel Leaders Group.
Maurice Bonham-Carter is also the founder of The ID Travel Group Foundation for Better Living, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities and enriching lives in countries where the ID Travel Group operates. The Foundation has endowed a graduate scholarship in perpetuity at Oxford University in Social Sciences, open to residents of Caribbean countries, where the Foundation perceives a critical need to elevate management skills.
